BESPOKE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT AND CONSULTING

Our mission is to assist you with R&D, so you can focus on the science. Based on your hypothesis, we will help you develop a strategy, define endpoints, and identify the essential hardware and software. Together, we can develop unique concepts and solutions tailored to your research.

 

TECHNICAL support

We offer support and advice on lab equipment and a wide range of technical topics, from behavioural room design to data handling.

HArdware design and production

Our hardware department will develop and refine new concepts based on our discussions. We will do as many iterations as needed, to make sure our hardware meets all your needs. Our capacities encompass the R&D of full systems, sub modules and integration of commercial equipment and custom modules. Examples include:

  • Behavioural chambers

  • Embedded controllers for scientific research

  • Precise odour and air delivery modules

  • Custom electromechanical modules

  • Fluidic / Microfluidic systems

software and GUI interfaces

We develop custom-made analytical tools in a variety of programming languages to provide the end-user with intuitive user-friendly software packages. Together we can define the analysis methods to ascertain, visualise, and then output the key metrics you are after. Examples of our software expertise include developing packages for:

  • Image processing, analysis and visualisation of animal behavioural experiments 

  • Segmenting and visualisation of 3D fluorescence/GCamp imaging studies

  • Quantification of large-scale, single unit recording electrophysiological datasets
